This online Cargo Securement Program is designed specific to the Tank Truck and Tank Trailer driver. It provides all the core fundamentals and general requirements essential to cargo securement, based upon the National Safety Code for Motor Carriers (Standard 10) PLUS specific needs in the tank truck and trailer sector of the trucking industry.

This training removes the specialized products that are commonly added into general cargo securement training (Logs, Rocks, Crushe Vehicles, ect) and concentrates on the securement necessities specific to the tank driver, providing a complete training element for the tank driver that is frequently not included.

After completing this course, you should understand the required fundamental general cargo securement standards as mandated through the National Safety Code, requirements of carriers and drivers, the securement system itself including minimum strength requirements, tiedowns and edge protectors. You will learn placement of generalized cargo and be able to calculate working load limits. In addition, this course will train the tank driver on hose securement, locking cam locks and further securement as it pertains to the tanker.
