Every day, many professional drivers cross the U.S. borders without incident. For the new professional driver however, the thought of delivering goods into another country might seem like a daunting task.

This course is designed to provide an awareness of and knowledge about some of the processes and procedures that can help make a learner's border crossing experience smooth and relatively easy.

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Discuss general requirements for crossing the Canadian border
  • Describe the process used to cross the border into Canada and back into the United States
  • List general differences between the U.S. and Canada when it comes to compliance issues including hours of service, daily vehicle inspections, and vehicle sizes and weights
