Course Overview
In the past, you've probably taken safety training about preventing harm to you or your co-workers, but this course focuses on preventing harm to hundreds or even thousands of people.
In this course, you'll learn how Process Safety Management (PSM) reduces the likelihood of disasters such as explosions, fires and chemical releases from occurring.
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Define the purpose of a Process Safety Management (PSM) program
- Know when OSHA requires a PSM program
- Recall employer responsibilities regarding PSM programs
- Recognize what is included in training about a PSM program
- Recognize elements of a Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
- Identify elements of written operating procedures, incident investigations, emergency planning and compliance audits
