Course Topics
Welding Safety ,This section of the exam assesses general safety in the welding trade as it relates to fumes, equipment and consumables.
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) ,This section of the exam assesses general knowledge relating to shielded metal arc welding including polarity, electrode numbering and equipment needs.
Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) ,This section of the exam assesses general knowledge of gas metal arc welding including wire selection, gas selection and equipment needs.
Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) ,This section of the exam assesses general knowledge of gas tungsten arc welding including gases used, equipment needs, tungsten selection and filler wire numbering and composition.
Oxy-Fuel Processes ,This section of the exam assesses general knowledge of cutting and welding operations including cylinder safety, regulators, tip selection and filler wire classifications.
Steel Fabrication ,This section of the exam assesses general knowledge of steel fabrication including layout, fabrication equipment, measuring and tools.
This course takes approximately 90 minutes to complete
A passing grade of 75% or higher required. Up to 1 attempts are provided.
A certificate will be provided upon the successful completion of this course.
